My Weekly Work Out

I work out or do something 6-7 days a week:

Monday: Group Power class (stregth training)

Tuesday: Fitness Kickboxing

Wednesday Group Power

Thursday: Fitness Kickboxing

Friday: treadmill/stationary bike (hate this one because I find it boring lol) or nothing

Saturday: Fitness Kickboxing

Sunday: Walking 3 or more miles depending on heat and crunches or squats

I am a serious creature of habit and like sticking to the program so to speak but I think I need to change things up a little bit. Any suggestions?

I'm constantly changing up my routine! I just find if it's not working for me my enthusiasm to do it just brings me down and gets me to not wanting to do anything at all. I do have a very strict regimen. I workout 5 days per week... I'd love to do more but really I fear losing too much more. I'm still losing even with what I'm doing now.

I have to say, if you don't like it - don't do it! Find some things you do enjoy and bump those up to longer and harder. It is good to make sure you're doing a little of everything, but there's more choices than just "the treadmill" or just "the elliptical" etc.

Read some books or do some searches online for ideas! You're sure to find something.

Jeez, you guys are dedicated. All I do is weightlifting on M-W-F.

But my routine is completely different; e.g. Friday is my "power" day when I put on huge stacks of weights, Monday is my "toning" day when I do different exercises, less weight, and more reps, and Wednesday is my "day of forgotten muscles" where I hit all the neglected little muscles like the calves, hip adductors/abductors, deltoids, traps, and so on. So I keep it varied and that keeps it from being boring.

My current challenge is going beyond my own mental limits; I often don't HAVE to stop when I WANT to stop. I'm trying to learn how to keep pushing until I literally can't do another rep. Until I reach that point, I'm not "done" even if my wimpy mind SAYS I'm done!

I must be doing something right since I've packed on 5 lbs of muscle (while losing 5 lbs of fat) according to the body comp. monitor machine at my gym!

That is great about the muscle vs. fat. I am on a huge project at work and have not been able to make it to my classes for about a month now and its killing me! I hate doing the bike and treadmill etc. My mind wanders and I get bored and when I'm bored I don't want to do it. Its me and and I know this about me, isn't that half the battle lol ? I do try to walk about 15-20 miles a week when I can't get to my classes.

Guys I am a gym rat by obligation. I go and my comfort zone is the treadmill. Run 35 mins at 6.0-7.0 mph and I do 9 min miles. I lift weights as well, but that is when I get anxious. There is this weird anxiety that takes over me and I see everyone around being so pro it bothers me. I tried doing a trainer and spent thousands of dollars with little results. I travel a lot and I am not accustomed to extreme effort. My body shuts down. I lift, but I am afraid I am too comfy on my lifting and it just does not motivate me.

After 3 years I am burnt out of spinning and running and the half ass lifting that I do and I am a bit out of hope. I do it and keep doing it. But I hate it. It just seems like the flab doesnt go away ever. I need encouragement, because I am a gym rat. But by mental mandate not by enjoyment.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
