I'm hoping this will bring some of you out of the woodwork! lol. I am planning on getting a band to sleeve revision done during my break in nursing school at the end of August. (I say hoping because I am waiting on insurance approval for now.)

Who else is out there waiting for the BIG DAY in a couple months?

I have been "penciled in" for surgery on August 9th! I'm very excited!

Just got mine for August 2nd~wow! my head is spinning!

August 24th, my 34 and a half birthday! Looks like there's a few of us on that day.

I'm jealous of you guys/gals who get to go sooner, but I can wait. This might sound silly, but I watch the moon when I have something that seems far away. The moon changes so quickly, so I think - well, the next time the moon is full, I'll be almost there. And then it just passes quickly, even with checking the moon every night.

I will say I'm a bit nervous about the 2 week all liquid pre-op. I have this feeling that I might want to stab someone in the middle of it. We'll see how it goes.

Oh, and I don't have a time yet. Is that weird? The scheduler said they'd get back with me on that. I do have a pre-op appointment for 8 days before my surgery, and a phone call in to the nurse to ask her things like, "can I keep taking my b/c pills?"

So much to figure out still, even though I've been researching this for seven months now!

I don't have a time yet either so I don't think it's weird! I love the moon idea!! My preop is 3 days before. My Dr requires BC to be stopped 1 month before - BIG letters in the instructions and my NUT told me they have canceled surgeries because of it so you may want to call!!!

Good luck to you too, Debbie! I saw in another post that you wanted to lose about 130 pounds, so our goals are pretty close too. My doctor said I should lose about 115 pounds. I'm 5'7", so my BMI is 40.

I'm glad to get in touch with other people who are going to be going through the same thing "with" me. I was told to plan to spend about two nights in the hospital, and I start my pre-op diet on July 30.

So jealous I'm waiting on final approval from the insurance company! Have you had surgery yet? I pray that you have a great experiece and that everything goes well.
