Yep it sounds like dumping syndrome... I had it for about 6 months after my gall bladder surgery last year... My triggers were any kind of greasy food, like bbq and sweets... Try to avoid too much grease and sugar... increase your veggies a bit, especially things like spinach and salad... that really helped me, and now mine is completely gone!! biggrin.gif Hope you feel better!!

OK...even though you are not diabetic, those are the classic symptoms of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). I am diabetic and a registered nurse. I lost about 40 lbs before my sleeve due to a nasty fall with bad consequences. I had to cut my oral medication in half because I started having hypoglycemic episodes in the morning at work. The symptoms you indicate are exactly the same...profuse sweating, nausea, decreased wakefulness and with me an intense feeling of anxiety. This is from your sugar spiking and then dropping like a rock after you eat refined sugar or dense carbs. When that happens, you need to take in something with a little sugar in it to raise your blood sugar to stop the episode. It will probably take 10-15 minutes to feel better. Then don't eat those things again. Also, my daughter who was sleeved 7-1-10 and has lost 90 lbs (she was never diabetic) has the same reaction when she eats rice, refined sugar and pancakes. I took her blood sugar one time when she started feeling bad and it was 53. Gave her a bite of Peanut Butter and something else i can't remember and she was fine in a few minutes.

Just start to be aware of the things that do this to you and avoid them. It is a horrible feeling, so I imagine you won't have a problem identifying them and avoiding them. Good luck, We are all in the learning process of how to live with our sleeves. What an adventure!! Kathe

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
