Yayyyyyy!!!! SLEEEEEEEVED

Recommended Posts

Hello to Everyone

My surgery was Feb. 18th and discharged the 21st. Home at 1230pm.

Today I am truly happy with the decision I've made to be a more healthier woman. I have taken control of my life.

The surgery was a success. I hardly had any pain; a lil discomfort, yes, but no pain.

I begin a new journey for the rest of my life and give thanks to God and to Dr. Taller at Pacific Bariatric, San Diego and the pre-op team, pre-surgical & surgical team and nurses on the 7th floor at Scripps Mercy Hospital. You all ROCK.

Congrats to you. I had the surgery on the same day as you and feel the same way. I'm still getting the hang of using the tool, but it seems to be going in the right direction.

Thank you. I just can't believe how good I actually feel. With the fluids I'm intaking are pretty good. Getting use to that is a real challenge. My Mom made a huge, I mean huge glass bowl of jell-o (sugar free). I have chicken broth given to me from the hospital to take home. I have plenty of ice and today I am beginning Protein.

The days to come is where I find my inner self.

Good luck to you.

Hello, we are Sleeve buddies. I also had my op on Feb 18th and came home on the 21st. The only difference is 5,000 miles, I was in England and you in America! How have you been feeling? HelenJD

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
