My surgery date is December 7th. Anyone scheduled on or near that date? I figure I'll be able to decorate the house and do my shopping beforehand, then be in pretty good shape by the time Christmas rolls around.

My surgery is scheduled for December 6 so I will be in the same boat with some of you missing Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner. I will be starting my Preop diet on November 22. I am starting to get very excited and a little bit nervous.

Hi, I am in the western part of Northern Virginia. My brother and his family live in Richmond. Are you having your surgery at Bon Secours? I had my one on one nutrition consultation on Monday and she said the doctor did not mark down any pre-surgery weight loss goal for me. She thinks I will not have to do any pre-surgery diet. What a relief. I guess it is because my BMI is on the low end. I will be on liquids for two weeks after surgery and mushies for 6 weeks. I'm getting more and more excited.

I will be there on the 10th! I get in on the 9th from Chicago...go through pre op stuff...then get sleeved on the 10th. I will see you there :-)

Cant wait to meet you although I don't know what kind of shape I will be in on my surgery date. Maybe I will be loopy on pain meds Hey, we can walk the halls together....yay! my first exercise buddy

December 14 here. I have already met with my NUT, done my sleep study, and met with two of my counslors. I meet with them again on 11/22 for my second visit!!

she said my nutritionist report thingy should be in on Monday. And, then it all will be submitted to insurance.

and, gave me an appointment to meet with my doctor.

i'm starting to get nervous i won't get approved... or i wont get approved in time (December)

if I can't get it done in December I'll have to wait until April for Spring Break. the wait now is just killing me.. I can't imagine waiting longer.

Your surgery is the day before mine and I hope to be eating mushies by Christmas, since I am on liquids for two weeks. That means I start mushies on the 21st. Guess that means cottage cheese and soup for Christmas dinner-yum, yum!

Well, I got busy this week and I stocked up on soups, sf pudding, protein shakes, chewable vitamins and bought a recliner. I get really nervous if I don't keep myself busy. My surgery date is Dec. 1st, pending insurance approval, which I expect to get. Everything was submitted last week, and when approval comes through I have my final pre-op mtg. with my surgeon, any tests he wants to do and a tour of the surgery center. I know when I get ins. approval it will really make it real! I just want to get this over with, the anxiety is no fun! I'm happy to have contact with others who are having their surgery around the same time.
