SOOO glad that part is over!!!!

Well.....I told the family yesterday!!!! Like most of you said, it went better than I thought. The initial reaction I got from them was exactly what I thought it would be , but then they listened and for the most part are on board. We had some tears, and there is a lot of concern, but they are supportive. I feel like a 1,000 pounds have been lifted off of me!!! Thank you all for the encouraging words!!! :tongue_smilie:

Glad all went well with the family. The family issue is one thing I am so glad I did not have to deal with. Everyone was on board and supported 100%. Now the significant other is a totally different story but he is coming around. I guess he has to be because the deed is done. :tongue_smilie:

KKB,

I'm so glad for you! Having family support is not necessary, but it sure makes this easier.

Your surgery is only 11 days away! Can't wait 'til you're on the loser's bench!

So glad to hear that you were able to talk with them and they are supportive. I'm sure there will be questions and concerns, but it's great that you were able to put it out there, explain your reasons, and help them understand your choice. NICE JOB!
