Sounds wonderful.

Anyone else bugged this year by bugs. I would love to get outside, but I can't even get to my vechicle without at least 30 mosquiitos all over me. I have never seen it this bad, it sucks!

Yup, mosquitoes are alive and well right now; especially at night. BUT, on the upside I do notice they are smaller than usual; but tis early in the season yet!

What really bugs me (NO pun intended!) are the June Bugs!! UUUUGH! I was watering the plants the other night (in the dark) and something wacked me hard against my bare neck and I could hear the wings fluterring etc....and it smacked into me. DAMN THING. I'm sure it was a June Bug...I don't know what else could have actually hurt me that much slamming into me like that!!!

Oh...and my husband reminded me to say that I also screamed like a little girl! (It was dark and I wasn't expecting to be attacked!!!). Of course he comes running to see if I'm okay (good to know!) and I had to shamefully say it was just a bug!!!

Cripes.....having a chef for a husband can either work for you or against you....so far, against...........but now that I'm more accepting of his help for healthier food he is a great asset....can make nothing really taste like something.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.
