I know some call this onederland, but since I wasn't all that much heavier than 200 lbs (225), let's just say "under 200."

So officially I am down 26 lbs. I am one week and two days out. (Plus I lost during the pre op diet)

I feel like it comes at a bit of a price. I haven't been feeling nearly as good the past day or so. I was doing WONDERFUL and then-BAM.... out of breath, light headed, just kind of a blah feeling. I am hoping to get some rest today and push Protein. Hopefully that will help.

Congratulations to you! I can totally relate to the light headed and blah feeling, nothing hurts but man do i feel blah. . .i've been doing the Vitamin thing, the Protein thing, the Water thing, and still feel really light headed. . .noticed however my pulse doesn't go over 48 though, could be a problem huh? It was over 76 whenever i was fatter, now that i've lost some weight it's back down to my earlier years. . back when i was younger it never went over 50 . . . lowest in the high 30's, highest in the high 40's . . . probably something to tell the doc about you think?????

Congratulations on getting "under 200"!! Regardless of where you started, that has to feel terrific.

I'm sorry your energy is lagging. I hope it picks up soon!

THINONEDAY:

A pulse under 48 with the kind of symptoms you are having, when your normal is in the 70's, is an emergency situation and you should seek medical attention immediately. SOMEONE ELSE SHOULD DRIVE YOU TO THE HOSPITAL...YOU COULD PASS OUT. Please let us know how you are doing.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
