Hello!

Hello! I've been following the website for a little while, but think its time to get out there now. My name is Amy and I have always struggled with my weight for as long as I can remember. I've decided to take my life back into my own hands so I can start doing the activities I like. I am 31, married to a very supportive man that loves me no matter what!

I have already found so much information and hope to make many friends here!!

Welcome to the greatest site, support system, I think, ever. I have had the band since July, 2012 and love it! Wish I was younger than almost 62 when I got it. Having a supportive husband means everything. I have one. Some people tell everyone about the WLS and others tell no one. I told some, mostly very close family and friends. I son't share with any of them how much I have lost. I can't handle the, you weighed how MUCH! That is me, not everyone.

You will learn great and bad things here. Having a great doctor and great staff is important. I go to my monthly support groups and enjoy them. My husband usually goes with me.

If you have any questions, no matter what they are, ask.

Arlene

This forum is great. I've learned alot here. As for taking your life back, this is certainly a very good start.

Hi Amy and welcome! I'm waiting for a surgery date and really looking forward to getting banded. I know it's going to be hard work sometimes but it's going to be so great to have success. I am going to be 52 and wish this had been an option earlier in my life, but I'm not looking back -- here's to a healthy future for all of us!
