Any suggestions on good work out gear?

Recommended Posts

I hope this isn't a repeat from any previous posts but I'm wondering if anyone has found any decent work out gear that would help out with excess skin or just hanging parts? Or to be blunt would help avoid some of the flopping around! I feel like it makes my work outs a lot more uncomfortable wearing super loose clothes but before I spend the money to buy something different I figured I would ask. I just started the beachbody T25 exercise program and there is a lot of jumping involved. Thanks for any advice!!!

Maggie

I like the Old Navy compression shorts and capris. They keep your jiggly bits super tight, even when running. They are reasonably priced and have sales quite often.

I wear yoga pants and a t shirt. But it's best to wear what ever is most comfortable for you. When you go to the gym you see all sorts of gym wear, but my best advise is what's comfy for you will work best for you!

I like the gear at JC Penny, ditto on tight fitting capri/yoga pants, I usually wear a sports tank with a built in bra, I need the extra support from the regular bra + built in bra. I do prefer pants that come up higher to hold the belly roll in, but they are harder to come by.

I like the workout gear at both JCPenney and Old Navy, but my most important item is my bra: Bali Comfort Revolution Smart Sizes Shaping Wirefree Bra. It's so comfortable yet holds everything where it should. I usually put a regular sports bra on over it for extra support and moisture control when outdoors. I get the "shaping" one with foam cups to give the extra support.

Those jiggly bits need all the help they can get.

I wear under shirts from academy sports and outdoors. They keep everything nice and snug for all my workouts.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
