August 29, 201312 yr Any spirit is low cal, mixes r the problem.. I usually drink soda, but can't anymore... Maybe water and a dash of cordial maybe lemon.
August 29, 201312 yr I drink vodka and dry ginger ale and it works out to be about 160 cals for one standard drink, and in some cases the cals are less than vodka and tonic Water with a slice of lemon. It's crazy that I even know that considering I don't count calories at all.
August 29, 201312 yr I normally drink wine... but if i do the "hard" stuff.. i try and stick with the Crown and water with a splash of 7up. Or i do Parrot bay rum with peach orchard juice...
August 29, 201312 yr Not sure of the calorie content but I usually go for gin and tonic or just a dirty martini. Not a lot of mixer in either and you can sip on them for a while to make them last. I know for me, post banded, there isn't as much to soak up the alcohol so you become a bit more of a lightweight than in the past.

August 29, 201312 yr Since I've been banded, I don't really care for alchol anymore. The three times I've tried social drinking, I've ended up throwing away money because I don't want it after just a few sips. I've heard this from a few other people so far.

August 31, 201312 yr Author Thanks everyone. I am gonna try vodka with lipton diet iced tea peach flavour. You can drink 250ml for only 2cal and then just add the vodka calories. So quiet low if I added it up right. Does anyone know how many calories vodka has just by itself
