What are your Summer plans?

Recommended Posts

I love summer!

I live on a lake so lots of freinds and family come to visit us. I have three families coming at different times for up to a week each.

When they comes it's on the boat, off to the beach (Santa Cruz or Monterey), up to San Francisco for a day and an over-night trip to Yosemite. There's so much to do around here, I never get tired of seeing the same stuff.

On 4th of July our neighbors are planning a 3 day bash and letting people camp on the decks and we'll have 4 boats on the lake plus there's 3 birthdays all around that weekend.

Last, I'm tring to squeeze in a trip to Disneyland for the kids...

Wheets When will you be in SF?

Going to Texas in June for my husband's family reunion at Caddo Lake State Park. I'm still trying to find out who decided it was a great idea to spend a family reunion at a swamp!

Will Celebrate my dad's 72nd and my own 50th birthday while in Texas - NOT in a swamp!

Going to be driving a support vehicle for six bike riders, including my husband, son and daughter, the last week of July across the state of Iowa. It's called RAGBRAI. We'll be camping for the entire week.

I hope to God I live through this summer!!

With gas prices, I don't think I'll be going anywhere to far. We just got a new pool so my weekends will be swimming and hopefully slimming :)

No, I'm serious. I'll be in Wayne the weekend of June 10/11. My friend Jody and I will be going to karaoke somewhere nearby so if you want to join us, let me know. I'd love to meet you. :)

Were you aware that I lived in NJ for 9 years and moved to Louisiana a little over 2 years ago?

Ha ha! No problem. I suffer from CRS on occasion too.

I did receive your PM and have returned one to you. :)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
