I'm on day 10 of liquid diet. In Australia we can only have 3 shakes with added Water only, 1 pce fruit and 1 sml cup green veggies. 800 calories.

I'm doing great with it so far, as surgery is just round the corner (Tuesday 18th) and I'm keen to succeed..... This is my motivation! Can't wait for Tuesday to come.

Good luck to all of us! :)

I'm on day 3 of pre-op diet, surg scheduled June 27. Protein Shakes + 1 small meal/day, no meat, fish, chicken, low carb, also. First two days were ok, but felt a bit hungry. Woke up this a.m. Feeling great, I am motivated to stick with it so my body is in great shape for the surgery. Pre-op diet is only two weeks. I can do this!

My surgery date is June 27th too. I started the diet a couple of days early because I am ready to get this show on the road! My pre-op diet sounds like yours. The first few days I had a terrible headache, but I am much better now. Still hungry but I am super motivated!

Today was super tricky for me....I have to do the diet but I don't think I am getting enough Protein to keep me from keeping my sugar from getting too low, Today I almost passed out in the store, I checked my numbers in the dressing area really quickly and sure enough I was down to 60 which can get dangerous....... I have only just gotten out of the Hospital For 2 weeks after being newly diagnosed with Diabetes..... Yikes.... These next 7 days need to pass faster I am a nervous wreck!!

You two should contact your doctors about your blood sugar drops. The afternoon is when I get the most hungry and a bit shaky and so I have my fruit (usually an apple) and some V-8 juice mid-afternoon. That helps me. But I do not have diabetes. I would definitely check with my doctor to find out what to do to prevent those drops in blood sugar and how to prevent them if possible. The Premier Protein shakes have 30 grams of Protein each--one way to get more protein..

I am definitely struggling with my preop diet. I had a scope today which messed up my schedule and threw me off the whole day. Ugh. I usually don't have this big of an issue with diets.

Turns Out I have not been doing what I am suppose to be doing I am suppose to average four Protein Shakes a day I had been drinking Three I did not notice they adjusted mine on another sheet I was going by the standard..... Oops!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
