I've been advised to only take Tylenol. I was banded on the 20th.

I was told that it is ok to take an Advil as long as it isn't very often... I guess it depends on the doctor...

Call doctor first just to be sure.

I took an Aleve before bed and it was heaven. And no problems.

They say that taking it could cause an ulcer in the pouch and could then erode the band, at least that what I read. I think it would take more than one time though. But hey I'm not a doctor.

I just took a muscle relaxer. My doctor and and lady from Anastasia said not to take after midnight the night before surgery. I hadn't been taking them as I lost a lot of weight before surgery but felt like I needed one today. Surgery was 48 hours ago. I feel pretty good. But that's my doctor so I'm just putting it out there. Nothing I plan to use on a regular basis again. Hope you feel better.
