  1. I was sleeved on 1/30/17. They removed my band that had been there since 5/20/14. I have had no issues...except for now. Not sure if it is related to the surgery or not. Yesterday I was driving home from the grocery store and I got a couple of sharp twinges near my ex-port incision. It almost felt like sutures ripping or popping open. It felt like that on and off for about 30 minutes. It hurt worse when I took a deep breath. I went to the bar for an Irish wake and drank wine and ate some snacks. No issues eating to drinking at all. I woke up at 4 this morning with the worst chills. I mean my teeth were chattering. I made myself get up and put more clothes on and take Tylenol. 45 minutes go by and I vomit up bile and the Tylenol. I preceded to dry heave and vomit for the next couple of hours. I have pain in my stomach that wraps around to my back. I have a low-grade fever. I am able to keep fluids down now this afternoon and ate some toast. I just rolled over to get the remote and I get that weird tugging sensation again. So my question is, can my staple line open up after 9 months? Sorry for the long post. I’m worried and will be calling my surgeon in the morning.
  2. Also had surgery on the 30th. Most of my pain is in the larger incision where they took the stomach and band out. Remembering to drink an ounce every 15 minutes is my biggest challenge. I can start protein shakes tomorrow.
  3. I am so glad that I am not the only one freaking out about this. I have always had a thick luxurious head of hair. I am shedding so much hair that I am not sure why I am not bald yet. I was banded exactly three months ago. I eat so much better and so much more protein than before the banding. I am going for a folate and b12 test in the morning. I thought I was on good vitamins from GNC but maybe it is not good enough. I didnt even take a vitamin before the banding! What vitamins are you all on?
  4. I had my first fill almost two weeks ago. I had 2ccs put in I have had no trouble eating and no pain associated with eating. I do however have pain kind of near my port site but slightly above it. It hurts when I bend over or twist my torso. I went to the dr on Wednesday and he said it was normal. Anyone else experienced this after a fill?
  5. I am in the drs office waiting for my first fill. Very nervous but know it is needed to be done. In the last two weeks I have felt the most hungry. I am hoping to get the ok to start exercising too.
  6. I can't eggs anymore. Terrible pains with instant diarrhea and horrible middle back pain. The same thing just occurred with a handful of almonds.
  7. Two weeks post op and started on normal food. Doing great! No complications other than the fact that I can't eat eggs in any form anymore. I get a terrible stomachache immediately afterwards. Anyone else have this problem since banding?
  8. Banded on the 20th and yesterday it started to feel like my stomach was in a vice grip. It's been fine and I've had no complications. It hurts to take a deep breath. Any suggestions??
  9. Thanks guys! I made it through the BBQ and everybody was nice enough to not swim because of me. I have a wonderful family. It was still tough to watch everyone eat ribs and drink beer while I ate my 1/2 cup of egg salad puréed. I held strong though.
  10. I am having a lot of pain too. I was fine and yesterday it feels like a vice grip on my stomach and it hurts to take a deep breath. Im keeping food down and I don't have any nausea. It feels like it did right after surgery. I'm calling my dr tomorrow morning.
  11. I feel the same way. I also can't seem to drink enough. I don't know how to possibly drink more water throughout the day.
  12. I was banded on the 20th of May. I really want to get in the pool tomorrow and just float around. That's 12 days post op. think that's ok??
  13. Banded on the 20th. I went back to work today. 11 hours!!!! I'm sore and exhausted. The only problem I'm having is dehydration. I'm drinking 2 shakes and at least 3-4 bottles of water. That's where more than I drank before surgery. I'm only peeing like three times a day. I feel like I'm drinking all day and I'm still thirsty. My mouth feels dry and tastes bad. I'm having terrible headaches at night which I'm attributing to the possible dehydration. Does anyone else have this problem?
  14. What do papaya enzymes do?
  15. I went back to work nine days post op. I made it till two o'clock and then went home. I was weak or tired, I just couldn't sit any longer. It hurt my port site. It put to much tension on it. I am going back tomorrow and try to move around more.
  16. Use Mederma!! It's great for scars.
  17. I'm so glad someone brought this up! I've been having a very heavy period since banding eight days ago. Two weeks early. I have pcos so I think the band is going to really help it.
  18. Everything is ok. It's just really hard on this liquid diet. I have no energy. I keep getting headaches. My port site hurts. It's all such a change.
  19. I am five days post op. it gets better. My back still hurts a little. The heating pad and muscle cream helped that. Gas ex strips helped too. You'll feel better soon. ???Š
  20. I was so hungry today too and also five days post op
