What is a good chewable calcium citrate? I can't seem to find any my Dr recommended in the stores

Try Bariatric Advantage online. They have some. I got the sugar-free chocolate, and they are really pretty good.

If you find out let me know. It is soooo expensive and tastes nasty. I found at Vitamin Shoppe and also Amazon but the doses are so low you have to take several a day.

I bought mine at Target... chewable chocolate calcium + d.... taste good.

Viactive contain calcium carbonate which is not absorbed a well as calcium citrate. Bandsters should be using supplements designed for bariatric patients. Yes they cost more but isn't you're health worth it?

I was also told to do citrate not carbonate but my nurse did say carbonate is better then taking nothing. I can not afford any of the citrate I have found.

I used the bariatric advangtage chocolate chewables until I could swallow the calcium citrate minis.

I found twin lab chewable citrate waffers. I haven't tried them yet. The problem is most the chewable stuff is not citrate. I might try the bariatric advantage next. Twin lab were 11.99 but I used a coupon too. Thanks for all the suggestions and comments.

Cheznoel, I saw the minis, I will probably get them eventually once I can. you haven't had and problems with them?

I am unable to tolerate calcium citrate...and use calcium carbonate. The Caltrate + D is what my surgeon advised me to use, and I take an extra dose daily.

And just like your surgeon said to take what you take, my surgeon and nutritional team advises to use calcium citrate and not carbonate because of absorption.
