  1. It is weird to me that the MD's ask or tell what the goal weight is when having the lap band... I understand why they do it since I am in healthcare, but that goal number is so overwhelming to me. My MD just said when you get to the weight that you can maintain and are comfortable then you have hit your goal! I am more comfortable with that thought process, although I still weigh myself once a week since it is the way that I judge if I need a fill along with the way I feel with my eating. You lose until you are comfortable with you which I believe is a struggle since we always tend to believe that we are "big" and see all our flaws. You got this girl!

Thanks ladies! I am doing exactly that.... I weighed myself so that I had an honest answer on what I gained, and now I am on to start the day in the right mood and mindset. I am picking up my new bike that my parents bought me for mother's day tomorrow which will help me tremendously. I appreciate the support from this blog, and to know that I am not the only one that struggles with "bad days".

Welp.... it was my first faulter of the weight loss bandwagon since getting my surgery 6 weeks ago.... I struggle with Mother's Day since I lost my child 16 years ago, and so it is always hard for me and extremely emotional. I ate sweets, bread, and too much, which I am physically suffering from. I am so upset and disappointed in myself, but then the "brain" part says it is my emotional eating creeping up on me and it is such a hard "program" to beat. I am back on the band wagon ASAP.... but I am fearful of this emotional eating creeping up again in the future....
  4. You look amazing! Great job! I am just starting this journey, but in 6 weeks I have lost 27 lbs. I hope I can keep up my dedication, and end up in my happy place as it seems you have! Thanks for sharing your story!
  5. I was just banded on April 1, and I have had a variety of emotions.... and the fear of failure has for sure lurked in my mind at times. But I take one day at a time, and I follow the diet given to me by my MD. I look at this blog every day for support, and I have a great support system in my personal world that I rely on and to share my fears and victories with! You got this!!!!!
