So I was banded on 2weeks ago and I must say I noticed I couldn't eat a 1/2 of cup of yogurt without getting full. Now I don't have that "full feeling" at all and I get my first fill February 20th. Is this normal?

Yes, those first few weeks you're healing from surgery and super swollen inside, so you feel full really fast. Keep following the plan and you'll make it!

I go for my first fill on 2/1 and I can't wait. I miss the restriction from those first few weeks. Best of luck to you!

Its also important to you know that you are not looking for a "full" feeling. You have to learn where it is that you feel satisfied. If get full you have eaten too much. This journey will teach you so much about yourself. Best of Luck!

Good news is that you are perfectly normal for your post-op stage. That doesn't make it any easier, but it does mean that your journey is progressing.

Hang in there, follow the rules and enjoy the benefits down the track.

it is harder in the beginning hang in there and stick with the doctor told you. This is prep work for the real work as you work your program...its hard at this stage and so remember but so worth it.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
