Recommended Posts

Pain on the right side after eating that goes around to the ribcage. Ejection fraction 36%, a low normal. Doctor said he's not sure if it's my gallbladder more tests need. What's going on!!!!!!!

When I had my gall bladder issues I had pain from the center of my chest that traveled to the middle of my back. I was unable to get comfortable. It would start 30 min to an hour after eating and last about 2 hours, towards the end the longest attack was about 10 hours. I had blood work that showed my liver enzymes were elevated which then prompted an ultrasound on my liver, gall bladder and my pancreas. Gall Stones.... since my surgery no more pain after eating. There was no rhyme or reason to my pain, sometimes after eating a yogart, sometimes salad, really anyfood but sometimes I'd eat yogart with no symptoms. Good luck.

Too many possibilities to even guess, especially on a forum. It could be gallbladder, appendicitis, intestinal issues, hernia, even migrating pain from an ovarian cyst. I'm sure there's even more possibilities than I listed here, too.

Just wait and see what the doc says after running more tests. Trying to self diagnose, especially when even your doctor isn't sure, is just going to stress you out needlessly.

Best wishes.

Agree with Missy. You don't need to add more stress.

Gallstones are a common ailment with weight loss. Have you had an ultrasound? That's how they diagnosed mine, along with the same symptoms you have. I'm having it removed in a few weeks.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
