I was just wondering if anyone does weight watchers with the band... I'm thinking about it!

Not currently but I also have thought about it because my mother in law is on it. The meeting times just don't fit into my schedule.

I'm basically doing it here from home. I'm just following the myfitnesspal guild lines that I worked out with my nutritionist.

No matter what eating plan you follow, you must write it down or log it. Seeing it all laid out (like a bank account) will help you see what you need and what you have to work with.

I do weight watchers and it is helping. I am a slow loser. So WW keeps me honest :)

No i'm not doing weight watchers, but I totally agree with you helping you band help you. I got banded on august 21 2012 so i'm fairly new at this but right now i'm on this super healthy 30 days challenge, plus one hour exercise 5 times a week, and a gallon of Water a day and I lost 9lbs in 5 days no lie =) before that I had done 3 days of ketosis ( 6lbs in 4 days)because I thought I was off track because with my dieticians diet I had only lost 7lbs in 3 weeks ( which people told me that was about what lap-band patients lose each week 1-2lbs a week). I started at 445lbs. My pro-op diet started august 8, surgery was august 21, and i'm now 395lbs =). I had done thi schallenge before and it's really healthy but it was really hard for me to follow, with my band now it is really ok. Basically use you your tool ( band) to your advantage
;-)
GOOD LUCK!

I also use myfitnesspal and boy does it help me. I feel like I am more accoutable with using that app. I log everything I eat and I log my excercise and I can see if at the end of the day I am at a positive or negative and I can also look at reports of my progress for the month. I never could get into weight watchers, but for some reason myfitnesspal clicked for me and works.

I think the bottom like is find what works for you to keep you accontable and do it, no matter if it's weight watchers or myfitnesspal or something else. As long as you are holding yourself accountable for what you are taking in it is a good thing.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
