I've been waiting 7mths for my surgery 10/15/12 and the info I've gotten here has helped me a lot.

I am a newbie as well. I am getting my band on Oct 18th, starting my pre-op diet on the 4th. Scaring me a bit. I am so happy to have found this wonderful site. I feel it will be very useful for me.
