Every surgeon has their own idea what works so if you listen to anyone other than you're surgeon you're bound to get a lot of conflicting information.

Do what your surgeon says, not a book or anyone else.

All Drs are different. That's something you'll hear a lot around here.

My Dr requires 30 days of full liquids, yeah!!!

My doctor only required 1200 calorie diet for 2 weeks prior to surgery and FULL liquid diet day BEFORE surgery. . . they all have their own way

I was on 4 weeks of liquids post op. Oh my gosh it sucked lol. I was so glad when it was over.

30 days?!?!

30 days!!! and I will do those 30 days.

I truly believe in following Drs orders.

PS. Doesn't have to do liquid diet pre-op

My surgeon did not put me on a pre-op diet....I just have to eat light a day before and NPO after midnight.....So yeah, all surgeons do it on a case by case basis, so follow your surgeons recommendations.

Did you mean pre-op?

Who gave you the book? It's possible you need to be on liquids for a period post op and the doctor was giving you a sample food plan for when you move to solids.

I was on clear liquids with protein shakes 7 days, full liquids with protein shakes 7 days, soft mushies 7 days, denser mushies 7 days, and back to solids after that.

30 days!!! and I will do those 30 days.

if you dont i shall banish you from my kingdom and then kick your hiney
