September 18, 201213 yr I have been banded 1 1/2 years and have lost around 80 pds. I am always cold since I've lost weight, does anyone else have this happen? Thanks
September 18, 201213 yr I used to be cold all the time and it turned out to be my Thyroid. Maybe you should get yours checked. It's very common. Good luck!
September 18, 201213 yr You would think that with all this weight I would also be hot, I am the opposite I am always cold. My thyroid is off and I am on a small dose of meds, I am going to get it rechecked soon to see if my numbers are normal.
September 18, 201213 yr I was freezing all the time for like 2.5 years.......now I'm at 3 years 3 months post op and I'd say within the last 6 months my body has started to regulate it's temp!
September 26, 201213 yr Author Just went to the dr last week, they did alot of blood work to check my thyroid because I told her I was freezing all the time. So I am just waiting for the results. Dr said it could be I have lost fat so that was some of the padding that was keeping me warm.
September 26, 201213 yr Tammylee, I am always freezing since I have been banded . Right now i am sitt
September 26, 201213 yr Sorry hit the wrong button but i have a pair of alipper socks and regular slippers on. I also have a sweater on with a long sleeves shirt! Can't even go near air conditioning
September 26, 201213 yr I am not cold all the time - but i used to be hot and clammy all the time. Now, some nights i just cant get warm so i have a hot, hot shower every night just before i jump into bed and take a hot pack with me when it is really cold. Thank goodness the weather is warming up. But i have to agree with Mrspopeye,
September 26, 201213 yr Yes when it's cold I freeze my toes go numb and everything. I lost a lot of weight and quickly so I don't think my body knows how to regulate it. But when it's hot I get real hot to I can very rarely find a happy medium lol. But it's a small price to pay to be how I am now
September 26, 201213 yr I am freezing all the time now that I am down almost to goal.. Granted it better than sweating when I climbed 4 steps but it drives me nuts remembering a sweater all the time.
September 26, 201213 yr I'm another one freezing all the time. I'm currently sitting in my living room with my hoodie on and a blanket on my lap and still shivering.
September 26, 201213 yr Definitely colder since I lost weight, but also prone to power surges (hot flushes) so I never know what the next half hour will hold. I have learned the art of layering! (And my winter doesn't get anywhere near as cold as some other places.)
September 26, 201213 yr Yes, I have rediscovered my former self...the one who was always cold. For years she was MIA...but I'm glad she's back!
September 27, 201213 yr Definitely cold all the time. This is so new to me, I was always the hot sweaty one.
