Hello- this is my first post on this forum.

My surgery date is set for September 26. I am so happily overwhelmed for this new lifestyle choice I have chosen. I live in Oklahoma but my surgeon is in Texas so that is where I will be traveling for everything. My first doctor visit was June 12, 2012, and the following week on the 21st I had my meeting with the nutritionist and the psychologist. My next doctor visit was the middle of July. September 10, 2012 I received my approval from my insurance company and surgery was immediately scheduled. Did I mention how excited I was?

My husband and family are beyond supportive and that makes this so much easier. All I know is that- I refuse to be the mother who tells her daughter know because I am too overweight to walk. She and I deserve so much more out of me, but enough with that!

Welcome to the forum. I have learned so much here. Congrats on your choice to change your life. It's been the best thing I've ever done for myself. I wish the same for you. It hasn't been easy, and I've learned I have more willpower and strength than I ever thought I had.
