Stress And Stuck.

Hi all,

Just wondered how many of you (and your band) are affected by stress.

I've always suffered with an emotional band and the slightest mood change will play havoc with my band.

At the moment my 8 year old son is being a little (insert your own word here).....wotsit lets say, at school and everyday I wake up and wonder what his day will bring to my band. Today is the worst day, I cant even tolerate Water today, I'm constantly sucking ice cubes as I presume I'm inflamed. Ice is going down nicely.

If you get stressed, slightly wound up, irritable etc can you feel your band tighter?

My band is tighter when I am stressed!

Yes it does... it feels like I have water sitting in it. It usually happens when im at work or in the evenings when I get off work!

I was warned by my doctor that stress will cause the band to tighten as they knew i had a very stressful job.

Same here! The other day I got so upset from my son my bad tightened and I threw up. I stayed all day without eating and drinking. I asked a friend of mine who was banded a year ago she said it is normal and it happened to her every time she was stressed.

Thanks everyone, nice to know I'm not alone on this one. :o) Day two of sucking ice cubes - roll on school holidays and less stress!

The other day at work it was very hectic and I hardly had time to drink water, let alone eat. I definitely felt a tightness, even though I am unfilled (banded 6/21).
