What About Gum???

Silly question, but it came to mind as I was happily enjoying a piece of gum today.

What if I accidentally swallowed it???

Would it get stuck? cause any harm?

I think she was just trying to scare us but my nurtitionist just told us No Gum. She said a client of hers accidently swallowed it and it got stuck and he had to have it surgically removed. True or not? Not sure but that's what she said. Might want to avoid/ be super careful with gum.

Oh my goodness! I've never once thought of this before, but now it will always be in my mind if I chew gum. Looks like it's mints only for me!

I chew gum daily while I exercise. It was advised against, but I don't take water with me when I go jogging (too much to carry) and it helps keep my mouth from getting dry. I'm careful not to swallow it; I think that's where the advisement comes into play. You may get stuck if you swallow it. I'm just consicious of it and only chew 1 piece at a time.

Leave it to me to think of this LOL! yeah I think I will be staying away from gum.

I chew gum when I walk. It helps keep my mouth moist. I do choose small pieces and don't swallow it.

I chew gum alot. Never swallow it.... also never thought it would be an issue with the band.
