My tentative surgery date is July 23rd because of my work schedule. It may change by a week but it looks like I'm gonna be a July baby. Anyone else out there that will be banded in July?

Good luck! You will be surprised at how soon you are feeling better. Mine was a week ago (Realize band). I was flip-flopping between Lapband and Realize and didn't decide until an hour before my procedure! Just follow all your doctor's advice' date=' attend support meetings before and after and you will do very well![/quote']

I also had my surgery July 12th.

I'm on the 12th and for some strange reason it hasn't sunk in that I'm having lap band. I think it's because I'm afraid it won't work because I have failed so many times in the past. I have heard from people that it just didn't work for them and yes' date=' I know on this site there are hundreds of success stories. Why I feel like a failure beats the crap out of me. [/quote']

Hi Winteranne, my procedure is on the 25th/07. Started my pre-op shakes. So far I am doing fine. Drinking lots of water and it helps. Good luck to you!
