Anyone Getting Banded In July?

My tentative surgery date is July 23rd because of my work schedule. It may change by a week but it looks like I'm gonna be a July baby. Anyone else out there that will be banded in July?

I'm getting banded July 10th was wondering can I eat pudding?

Didn't your Dr. give you a list of things you can eat? I'm allowed to eat all the Sugar Free Popsicles, Fudgesicles, Jello & Pudding I want but even that only goes so far, lol.

Two more days to go yay!!!! Got all preop work done friday. Get history and physical done Monday morning and surgery tuesday. Getting hungry for food tired of liquids counting down till I can chew something again.

I'm getting banded on July 19th! I had an endoscopy and gall bladder ultrasound on June 26th and I've been on a Sugar Busters diet ever since. I go for my preop stuff on July 12th. I'm very excited to get this chapter in my life started!

I have been doing ok on my pre op diet 4 to 5 protein shakes a lot of water jello and crystal light one week down one to go it was kinda hard not eating on the 4th of july but i did it and i went to 2 barbeques i think i am doing well.

5:30am in the morning is the big day for me! Praying all goes well! Good luck to everyone!

Good Luck Tat! I went under the knife this past Friday. Let us know how your doing!

I'm having surgery on the 11th. Two days away! Excited and scared at the same time.

I'm getting banded on 23rd July too at Dolan Park by Mr A Sigurdsson. Nerves beginning to kick in! Any advice would be helpful.

Today is day #5 for me, I feel ok so far but I just woke up so, lol. I wouldn't say you slipped, that was way better then the alternative really. Can I ask what you mean by a low? Is it like light headedness or just the strong urge to have something Other then what you can have, lol. I'm off day & tomorrow, which actually makes it harder more time sitting in my chair, watching tv and that's when I realized that this is where I ate for bordem. So, now I gotta find something else to do. Very glad I cleaned out my shelves & fridge so i can't have anything that I well, can't have. So, we shall see how these days off go...

Glad you're doing well, keep up the good work! ~Maria

I am diabetic and a low for me is when my blood sugar drops somewhere lower than 80. I get light headed, start getting confused and begin perspiring and I suppose I could pass out but I don't let it get that far. At that point I need to take in carbs.

Well 7 days down and 7 to go on the liquid and then the big day. I spend a lot of time in front of the TV but now that the heat has broken looking forward to start walking again.

just got banded today! home already and feeling GREAT. everyone who hasn't been banded yet, it is so much less scary than all my expectations and i'm feeling very minimal pain and gas. I'M SO EXCITED FOR ALL OF YOU NOW!!! I can already tell this is a great decision for me! Good luck to you all!

SOOOOOO glad to hear this!!! I am getting banded tomorrow and have turned from cool calm and collected to a bag of nerves!!! Just for the surgery itself. :) Thank you for posting. I will let you all know how I do tomorrow!!

I'm on the 12th and for some strange reason it hasn't sunk in that I'm having lap band. I think it's because I'm afraid it won't work because I have failed so many times in the past. I have heard from people that it just didn't work for them and yes, I know on this site there are hundreds of success stories. Why I feel like a failure beats the crap out of me. :(

July 20th :) today's my pre-op

Best of luck!!! keep yourself busy and occupied.
