Yeah that's my main concern the tenderness with the incisions but the glue stuff they put on them came off this morning and they actually feeling pretty good.

I think if youre feeling like this now and go through with surgery and have a painful experience that'll be hard on you. I was banded 07/20 and the first 3 days were horrible Monday was okay Tuesday was better and today is fantastic. I would say to encourage yourself and pray about it and then pray some more. If you're still feeling iffy maybe your consciounce is telling your something

I was banded 07/20 haven't had any port pain just a little tender at times. My main thing was the gas pain, I must've inherited the pain of those who didn't have it but they became more bearable yesterday and today is much better. Be blessed in your journey and stay prayerful

Well like the topic says, just a little..... well a lot curious as to when it's safe to be intimate

Equate generic form Oscar slim fast is really good. The only thing about it is it only offers 10g of protein and it's packed with 170 calories. Im 5 days post op and I'll usually drink half a can then drink some water or g2o and a small spoon of peanut butter for more protein and drink the rest later and if I want anything in between and yosicle sugar free popsicles are AMAZING

My physicians office said that's normal. She said that's just gas pain trying to get out and waiting to be absorbed. Mine get so sharp sometimes until it's like I'm gasping. Kinda sucks

I'm 19 and I've just been banded on 07/20. My weight before surgery was 338, smh. I don't want this foreign object in me for life. It's a tool I want to use to help me loose enough weight until I feel I can comfortably take over. I turn 20 on 09/03 and I'm hoping by my 21st I'll be down to 230 max I know it's a big goal but I want it removed before my bday. I've read that the most weight lost is generally between the first 6-12 months so that's the time I plan to work with the band. Prayerfully by this time next year I'll be healthy unbanded healing and planning for my big day:)

When I get to my goal weight I plan on rewarding my body with functioning on it's own again and getting the band removed. I want to get a tatoo over the scars to remind me of where I'm not going back and kinda make it like another new beginning for me. Once the weight comes off maybe I'll become a zumba freak instead of being stuck in a gym, just thinking lol,

I was also banded the 20th. Today is definitely better than yesterday. Still have gas pains in my chest and shoulder that takes my breath away but prayerfully it'll be over soon

I hope so. This is day 2 of my post open and I'm still hurting and feeling whiny. I can turn in my bed better now, although it still hurts and I've been using gas strips which aren't helping and drinking water Gatorade and eating sugar free popsicle but I'm still in soon much pain. I wouldn't have went through with this if I knew I'd be feeling like this

Well I'm officially banded and officially a wreck. I am in soo much gas pain! I've walked drunk water used gas strips but nothing seems to help.

Ugh! Surgery in the morning at 9 and I can't sleep, this blows

I can't believe I get banded tomorrow! I have to call the hospital sometime after 2 to get the time for in the morning. Everyone I told about my decision up until Monday supported me. I told my pastor about my plans and he's 100% + against me doing it, although he did say he would support me regardless of what I choose. I emailed him yesterday and told him I would go through with it but he didn't reply and when I seen him yesterday he said nothing about it ( not sure if he checked it or not) and I've been having these really strange dreams. I need some encouragement on a serious note.

Okay so the closer July 20th gets, the more I'm starting to 2nd guess whether or not I should get this done. I'm feeling like a failure, like there's something else that I could've done instead of this. I'm actually feeling kinda pathetic with my decision now. I've never had surgery and knowing that at 19 I'll have 5 scars marking me every day reminding me of how I failed and couldn't do it is making me feel really low:(

I read somewhere that the band wasnt intended for life and that its suppose to help you lose weight and adjusy and understand what you should eat and how much. I asked my surgeon about it and he most likely if you need it because of genetics and what not if you have it removed you're more than likely to fall back to old eating habits. I believe it depends on determination and will. I get banded the 20th and depending on how things go I'm thinkinh about getting it removed in 5 years (the idea of having something foreign in me my whole life is strange to me)

Wow. Me and my ex had sex late January while I still weighed about 336 and he was literally outside whooping (had to threaten him with no more sex to get him to stop) so I'm kinda worried about others reactions after I get banded on the 20th
