I try to avoid snacking. I figure if I'm hungry, I should be eating something worth eating. If I'm just wanting to eat for the sake of eating, then I see that as old habits that got me in trouble in the first place. For example, yesterday I popped a Pop Secret popcorn mini bag, only 100 calories. I ate the bag all by myself and then at my lunch right after! I was shocked to find that I was even more hungry after snacking! I won't be doing that again!

I try to eat 4 meals a day, and never eat after 7 if I can help it. My first meal is only Cereal (Fiber One w/ skim milk) so it doesn't last very long, but my other meals keep me satisfied for four hours.

Oh, and a word of caution.. Be careful of the sodium in string cheese. Our daily intake shouldn't exceed 2,400 mg per day. Very bad on blood pressure and makes the scales think you are fatter than you are! heh

Lately I have been on a pistachio and almond kick. I cant eat very many though or they start feeling too heavy. For about a month I was on a dill pickle kick. I dont have much of a sweet tooth, but I love the sugar-free Reeses mini Peanut Butter cups when I get the urge for something sweet.

Them sf reeses give me the worst case of gas i have ever had in my life. Funny one time a friend of mine played a prank of this cousin of hers that was seriously very refined, huh, wel she offered her a few of them, needless to say a week or so later we asked her about how she felt after eating the, and she wanted to kill us, she did laugh though. She was gassed to. Sorry this was a dumb post.

ok kids,

this is what i had tonite.

i lost a bet at work (long story). In the end, i had to bake something, so tonite i baked 60 chocolate cup cakes, with Peanut Butter frosting, and crushed milk chocolate.

Now mind you i tried a bite of one of the ones my brother was eating, and thats all i had. but it still does not change the fact that i wanted to stick my face in one of them. hehe

what can i say, 90lbs lighter and do and most likely always will, cook like a fat person..lol

I just got a sample pack of quaker "Quakes Rice snack" , I am not much of a snacker but these are really good. I have tried the cool ranch kind and the cheddar cheese. Very light and yummy with a crunch. 9 of them are 70 calories (I would not eat more than 9 at a sitting tho). Mainly my Snacks consist of cottage cheese or string cheese or yogurt.

I like to snack on Asian Rice Crackers - the bbq and cheese flavors are yummy - 18 (count em) 18 crackers are only 120 calories, but I can usually only eat 5 or 6 at a time. So it is a good low calorie snack that satisfy's the crunchy sensation I sometimes crave.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
