MsDuran I am so happy that your hubby is home safely and that is an occasion well worth celebrating. No guilt needed there you have to live this new lifestyle I can't imagine not being able to drink champagne at my sisters wedding or having a occasionally drink on date night with my hubby. I think as long as I'm drinking responsibly(which is the rules for EVERYONE) know my limits, don't drink and drive..etc. I am will do fine. I know this forum isn't for this but...Good luck to you and your husband and I thank you for all your daily sacrifices for my security.

Please tell your wonderfull husband thank you for his service, and by all means 2 glasses of wine to salute his homecoming is not going to ruin your new way of lifE!!!!Bless you and him, Karen[/quote']

Thank you so much. He is a Naval officer in the engineering department and loves his job and country..!

Do not feel guilty. I was banded 4.5 years ago and I've lost 92 pounds and I drink every weekend. My surgeon said drinking in moderation is fine. Same for nonbanded.

Good luck on your journey.

just wanted to let you all know that i had wine this past weekend at a graduation party for my kid! my tolerance did not seem to be affected by the band...i will admit that i did overdo it and will not likely indulge again for several months due to the calories...i do not feel guilty about the wine one bit...i do feel guilty about the cake though:/
