MsDuran got a reaction from bigenuff in 45 Pounds Down.I'm almost half way there. I went to Universal this week and could walk all day without the pain ( and I have MS) .!! All of the rides were an easy fit and I didn't sweat like a pig even in the 100 + degree weather.
I love my band, I still have bad days with it but the good outweigh the bad by far.!
Thank for letting me share.!!

BAD: projectile vomit at Carrabas because I didn't chew the bread.! ( I no longer eat Carrabas) !! Hahahahajaha.

MsDuran got a reaction from ☠carolinagirl☠ in Calorie CountingI don't count calories, or measure! That's why I got the band.. I eat protein first don't drink with meals and let the band do its job. May not work for all but it works for me. I'm down 45 pounds in a little over three months. hardest thing for me is learning to eat SLOWLY.!!!! Still struggle with that one.
-
MsDuran reacted to Humming Bird in Calorie CountingOf course you have to follow your surgeon's rules............ That being said, mine didn't have me count calories.....or anything else really. I have not counted since day one. If you feel better about "dieting and counting" then you should count and track. During the journey we all have to find what works for us personally. If counting and tracking works for you, then you should do it. With proper restriction, I think it's a waste of time, but that is just how it has worked for me.

MsDuran got a reaction from Dacoop in Has Anyone Tried Alcohol?I drink wine regularly, no differences . I'm sure you will be fine just go slow because you won't have much food in your stomach to absorb any alcohol. I usually have a glass or two at the most and I'm at home so I haven't had to drive..! Cheers !!

MsDuran got a reaction from PandorasBox92264 in Oz 's When You EatI never measure, I eat protein first, dont drink with meals and the band takes care of the rest. I don't have time to measure out every meal, it's just not feasible for my lifestyle. I've lost over 30 pounds since my march surgery. Find what works for you.

MsDuran reacted to Thats All Folks in Ugh!!! Terrible Appointment Today!!Oh I'd be livid, and I'd definitely let your surgeon know what happened so he/she doesn't refer other patients to either of those idiots.

MsDuran reacted to cyn2011 in Nsv And Reality CheckOk. I'm a year post op (6/6) and I've lost 78 lbs. I've gone from a size 18 to a size 10. I'm told I look great but I've got to honest, sometimes I don't see it or realize how far I've come. I got a HUGE reality check yesterday. Over a year ago I flew in a plane and squeezed myself with the seatbelt. I didn't want to ask for an extension so I sucked it all in and barely buckled up. You couldn't even see my seatbelt as it was tight and hidden under my big belly. Yesterday I flew on a plane with my family which included my sister and her two year old twins. One fell asleep in my arms mid-air. The seatbelt light came on and I didn't want to put my nephew down because I didn't want him to wake up. Ready? Ready! The seat belt fit around me AND my nephew AND IT WAS STILL LOOSE!!! I couldn't believe it. I was in tears. It was a reality on how far I've come. My weight has come off slow and I've run across many plateaus but it has and will continue to come off. I just wanted to share

MsDuran got a reaction from KristinsMommy in How Many "perfect" People Are Out There?Perfect?? Definetly not, however there ARE some people on here who think they know EVERYHING about eating healthy. If that were true then hey would not be on here..!
I eat what I want just small amounts, I'll choose grilled over dried every time but if I want a piece of chocolate or a glass of wine then I have it OCCASIONALLY ... That's the key..! Good luck.!!
