  1. I have ms and they have been given to he through an iv.. Appetite is no concern...I can't eat! I made an appointment with my Dr. I think the fluid retention may be a factor??? I am hungry .. Hahaha..!
  2. Do any of you ever have to take steroids and if so does it effect your lapband?
  3. I hate to sound rude but 25 years or not, if you bettering yourself is a reason for her to not support you perhaps you should question your friendship.!
  4. You look amazing! Great job !!
  5. Hey! Try not to work yourself into a panic! You just had a big surgery and your body has to recover. Your surely swollen! It will get better just relax!!! I'm a year out and JUST got the hang of this thing.!! Hang in there, drink lots of fluid ..!
  6. Hi! I have MS diagnosed march 8th 2010.! Pleasure meeting you, my email is jamyduran@me.com I can help you through as much as needed! Stay strong!
  7. I drink diet all the time, I just have to pour it in a glass and wait for it to fizz out a little. Don't get caught up in what everyone else's dr told them..! Your body and limitations are unique! Do what works for you and advised by your surgeon! Good luck.!
  8. Well... It's been a year since I took the leap and got the lapband! I would do it all again tomorrow ! I must say a year out and I am JUST getting the hang of this new life I have to live now.! I'm down 62 pounds and according to my bmi and my dr I'm no longer morbidly obese or even obese.. Just simply overweight.. 52 more pounds to go but I've got this! Life is good....!!!
  9. If your throwing up "chunks" of food, your obviously not chewing enough. I've had the lapband a year this month and trust me, we tend to get comfortable and the lapband has a way of reminding us very quickly exactly what the rules are..! Good luck
  10. I am not worried about over eating at all, my band just won't allow for it. I'm just anxious because its so different for me now, I'm not worried, just wondering about all the taste testing needed to cook... Guess ill have to rely on my husband , he won't mind..
  11. I'm a little anxious for some reason. I have been banded for about 7 months now, I still struggle on occasion but I have not gained and have lost 50 lbs now.
  12. Yeah, but it was tomato soup.. Still made me nauseas . I'm better today!! I hope you are too!
  13. I've never had this before , but after my small fill yesterday I am having some nausea tonight after dinner... Anyone????
  14. I have never been able to eat bread or tortillas, anything warmed up or left overs, forget about it, some other things as well, maybe you are one of the very lucky ones.
  15. So today I can eat absolutely anything I want to, I even eat a tortilla which I can never do. This may sound crazy but I honestly think something may be wrong here, it just doesn't feel right??!!!
  16. IM having one of those days when absolutely nothing with consistency wants to go down... So, I embraced it like I've learned to do and me and my daughter had a snack size Mcflurry after her dinner... I'm not upset or ashamed, just thought I'd share ???.. Ps. I'm 50+ pounds down since April ...
  17. Wonderful!! I know it feels sooooo great! Good job.!
  18. I am, I live in Orange Park actually, my name is Jamy, pleased to meet you!
  19. Haha! So true tmf! I am so happy to hear that I am not alone in these challenges. I'm hoping tomorrow ( SHE ) decides I can eat.! Lol
  20. I'm trying to learn. I have 33 years of bad habits and eating what and when I want. This is not a quick fix and is certainly not an easy way out.! ???
  21. I'm a little over 3 months post op and about 40 pounds down. It's working, I'm losing weight but just when I think I've got it, I'll have days like the last 3. Unable to eat and miserable. It isn't always like this, my band just tightens some times for no good reason and will remain that way for a day or two.. I was getting Fluid removed, only to have it put back in a week later and I come to the conclusion that there are just days when this band will be very tight and there's really nothing I can do about it. I'm happy, just a little agrevated . Jamy
  22. Like today, I can't get anything to go down.. Anyone else?
