  1. I am, I live in Orange Park actually, my name is Jamy, pleased to meet you!
  2. Haha! So true tmf! I am so happy to hear that I am not alone in these challenges. I'm hoping tomorrow ( SHE ) decides I can eat.! Lol
  3. I'm trying to learn. I have 33 years of bad habits and eating what and when I want. This is not a quick fix and is certainly not an easy way out.! ???
  4. I'm a little over 3 months post op and about 40 pounds down. It's working, I'm losing weight but just when I think I've got it, I'll have days like the last 3. Unable to eat and miserable. It isn't always like this, my band just tightens some times for no good reason and will remain that way for a day or two.. I was getting Fluid removed, only to have it put back in a week later and I come to the conclusion that there are just days when this band will be very tight and there's really nothing I can do about it. I'm happy, just a little agrevated . Jamy
  5. Like today, I can't get anything to go down.. Anyone else?
  6. Two weeks since I had a loss. I have lost 45 pounds and usually lose a pound or two a week but it's just not happening. I'm not eating any more or less. I've never tracked anything because I believe in letting the band do what it is designed to but tomorrow I will track everything just to see what I may be doing wrong...
  7. And no weight loss... Frusterated and agrevated..
  8. IM finding that if I don't drink coffee ( very hot ) in the morning , my band does not cooperate all day..
  9. It's that time of year. People shed like animals. I'm sure you will be ok, it sounds like you are eating enough.. I hope you get better soon.!
  10. I'm almost half way there. I went to Universal this week and could walk all day without the pain ( and I have MS) .!! All of the rides were an easy fit and I didn't sweat like a pig even in the 100 + degree weather. I love my band, I still have bad days with it but the good outweigh the bad by far.! Thank for letting me share.!!
  11. I don't count calories, or measure! That's why I got the band.. I eat protein first don't drink with meals and let the band do its job. May not work for all but it works for me. I'm down 45 pounds in a little over three months. hardest thing for me is learning to eat SLOWLY.!!!! Still struggle with that one.
  12. I didn't fly, just a ton going on with our vacation.! Weird how stress affects this band. Strange.
  13. Good : I can actually wrap a towel around me now BAD: projectile vomit at Carrabas because I didn't chew the bread.! ( I no longer eat Carrabas) !! Hahahahajaha.
  14. I Just can not eat. Today was one of them, no matter what I eat or how well I chewed it came back up. . Today was my first day on my familys big vacation. Maybe anxious? I don't know but I feel like crap tonight.
  15. I drink wine regularly, no differences . I'm sure you will be fine just go slow because you won't have much food in your stomach to absorb any alcohol. I usually have a glass or two at the most and I'm at home so I haven't had to drive..! Cheers !!
  16. Have heard no such thing.. Ive had several fills and unfills with no issues..!
  17. I never measure, I eat protein first, dont drink with meals and the band takes care of the rest. I don't have time to measure out every meal, it's just not feasible for my lifestyle. I've lost over 30 pounds since my march surgery. Find what works for you.
  18. I know that my appetite for wine has increased ten fold... I find myself thinking about it a lot now days where as before it was only seldom and usually for a celebration of some kind. I see where this could escalate into a problem if I were a person with little willpower.
  19. Good for you.! I feel like a new person and soon you will too..!
  20. Like you just took a big bite of something and swallowed to soon. Honestly it's not a good feeling but I promise you ( for me ) it's not bad enough to have changed my mind about this surgery. I got stuck just yesterday on some chicken it passed and I was ok.
  21. You poor thing.. It may be uncomfortable until it comes up or goes down. I made the mistake of drinking to try and move it along and figured out quickly that was not the right thing for me to do. They would not do this if it were going to choke, you will be ok.!!
  22. She said it is normal, almost everyone of her bariatric patients say the same thing. She just encouraged me to only put on my plate what my new stomach can hold, take a moment before you order food or make your plate and honestly think ( can I actually eat this ) .! Good luck to you, please keep me posted.!
