ok, for those of you out there who have already accomplished your goal (or close to it) here is a link of a place I went to about 8 years ago.

After getting my band and getting close to my goal weight, I am going back http://www.suddenlyslender.com/

I had a HUGE deep scar on my left forearm from changing a lawnmower blade (ugh the days of being single!) and after 3 sessions, it almost disappeared.

I lost 17" the first wrap then 32" more overall after that. Im not sure what they charge anymore, but I got a package deal.

My friend that went with me lost 60+" during our time there. Of course if you are not banded, then you gain weight back you gain all the inches back too

Wow. You are my hero. I will be satisfied if I am half as successful as you are. What an amazing story. Hey, you could probably sell your story to a magazine and make enough to pay for your surgery.

I would definately do the pictures and submit them to insurance with all the complications that come along with having all the extra skin. I had a cousin that had breast surgery and the Ins. picked up the tab. On one side she was a D cup and on the other a B and ...she got a reduction in one and an implant in the other so now she is a C on both sides. He doctor not only submitted pictures but also had her talk to a Psych about the depression it was causing her......she said it was had to have confidence to try and even date because her breasts looked so different from each other and the Ins. paid. So resubmitt and tell them all that you are feeling. I sure hope they cover this for you. You are so beautiful and so deserving of this.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.
