Has Anyone Tried Isopure Zero Carb Drinks?

Recommended Posts

Hey all... I was just banded TODAY!! Recovering nicely... Been sipping on Water, tea, light juice, when I can... So my diet regimen over next 4 weeks is:

Week 1 only Clear liquids and Protein Water

Week 2 creamy liquids, Protein shakes, smoothies, strained creamy Soup , etc

Week 3 very mushies

Week 4 more mushies added

I have not been able to find a good Protein water, but my brother who is a personal trainer told me about this one http://www.isopureplus.com/weight_loss_surgery.html

Wondering if anyone has tried? Also, any other recommendations?

It seems a little pricy, especially at GNC, but I bought a 12 pack on Amazon for 10$ cheaper...

Just looking for a way to get some protein in....

Its a fast way to get your Protein in but they aren't tasty and leave little bits of congealed protein goo in your mouth sometimes. Im not usually a grape fan but found it to be the most tolerable if you wanna give it a try. Please try a single bottle before investing in a case!

Oh, you already ordered it...well, bottoms up! :) what flavor you get? I used them for my clear liquid preop only.

I like Isopure. I drink them after a weight training workout. I like the green and blue ones. I pour them in a glass withlotsof ice and drink it down....

They are artificially sickeningly sweet. That is the best way to describe them. I tolerated them and they didn't make me gag. I drank them for the entire 2 weeks of my liquid phase.

What is also funny Marissa is that I was very concerned that I wouldn't be able to get adequate Protein. I thought of all sorts of ways to make sure I met my daily intake. Well I really conditioned myself because now I tend to meet my daily protein by lunch. Before it would have been more carbs by lunch.

Hope you have a speedy recovery! I've read on here that Unjury is good, and mixes easy compared to some others, I ordered a sample pack but haven't tried them yet. They have unflavored so you could add it to juice, milk or even your broth for extra Protein. this forum has their ads on the sides. Its a good website and seems very imformative. The doctors office game me a big bag of samples to try, in it is Isopure drinks, I'll be starting preop on the 5th so I'll be sampling this weekend to see which ones I like. Good luck to you!! Hope all goes well for you!

I used Isopure everyday for my 2 week pre-op and am planning on the same for my first 3 weeks post-op. I love the pineapple banana orange one and the grape frost. The artic punch is pretty good as well. They def taste best when they are very cold over ice. To get my Protein in I do one Isopure and one chocolate splendor from Unjury per day.

I, too, love the Isopure. Grape is my favorite. It's funny how everyone has different tastes. While I love the Isopure, I can't stand the taste and smell of Unjury. It's all personal preference.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.
