When you go to enter the food it is the the right of the search box. If you haven't updated your app in a while might want to do that first. I have an iphone too, so know you have it! Good Luck!

oh god now I feel stupid, I never noticed that. Thank you

In 2 weeks its been a year since I've been banded. No fills and 45 pounds down. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing. U thought I would be down way more than that. But I guess its good with no fills and all. But I think its time for me to get one. Hopefully it don't open up a new issue for me

I think you did great, considering you had no fills. On 3/20 it will be one year for me and I have had 3 fills and am down 50 pounds. I am a little disappointed I thought it would have been more. But it was 50 pounds I was never able to lose before so really I should be happy.

Keep up the good work.

Hey guys!!! Thought I would update, 2 weeks amor so away from 1 year..I am down 98 lbs so I am hoping to reach my goal of 100 lbs lost

big congrats

Well I was fixing to post on here as well. i must have the slowest weight loss ever!!! I will be almost a year in 2 weeks also, only down 26 pounds, but I have had fills, My dr put the band in empty and I have gotten fills little by little every 6 weeks. I reached restriction probably 3-4 months agao, but not helping much with the weight loss. I do exactly what my dr tells me. 1500 calories/day, workout every other day cardio and strength, drink all my Water, 85 g Protein per day. I eat super healthy, no junk! i am a vegetarian but I do eat seafood. I get my protein from fish, bars, and shakes. My sugar and carbs are always on point. I am so frustrated, I was a cash patient too, so I am still paying for this!

I guess I should be glad though becuase I don't have to worry about gaining weight ever again. I don't overeat or eat bad the band has helped me with that. I started at 229 lbs and am now at 203. Been struggling to get the onederland!!! I would just love to be at 150...thats my goal...maybe one day!

I am in the EXACT same boat. I am a year out and I'm only down like 25 lbs. Granted I've never lost 25 lbs in a year on my own so Im thankful ... but sheesh I wish the results were quicker. Can we be 1 year support buddies? My email is info@sydneywyatt.com and on MFP my screen name is sunnyhoney11

Anyone having surgery tomorrow besides me :-)

Love to hear stories like my own because it makes me feel less like a failure. Keep up the good work. Slow and steady wins the race. Lets keep in touch with each other for support. I am also on mfp. My screen name is alerker.

Hey March bandsters!!!! Anyone that has lost 50 lbs or more over this past yr????

I would love to hear from you, and any tips/tricks that you can offer would be darling!

Do you strive to get in XX grams of Protein a day?

Do you stay away from carbs - bread, Pasta, rice, etc?

Do you drink XX oz of Water each day?

Any tips would be helpful, as I want my 2nd year to be more fruitful than my 1st!

Great to hear all the stories!! I was banded 3/27/12, I was up to a 65 lb loss until the holidays and my birthday season came along and I went a little crazy and put on 10 lbs. My doctor has me on a low/no carb diet, I tend to follow Atkins. I have a hard time with rice, breads and potatoes, they do not agree with my band. I also spend pretty much every day doing cardio or weights and sometimes I was going twice a day, I drink any where from 99-120 oz of water a day. Getting banded was the best decision I have ever made for myself (besides my divorce, lol).

1. Log everything you eat.

2. Exercise, always use variety because your body will adjust to same workout.

3. 64 oz liquids I use crystal light, Hawaiian punch, mio, anything sf. I hate straight water so Dr. Said its ok.

4. I eat bread like thin bagels and add low fat cream cheese.

5. If I have a snack its 100 Cal or less. Low carb and low fat.

6. I eat tuna and cranberries for lunch at least 3 days a week.

7. I aim for 72 gms protein specified for my current weight.

8. Pasta and rice maybe once a month if at all.

Good luck. Hope this help I am one year out but still learning.
