  1. I am fine otherwise!! I will make another dr appointment...I am pretty covered in black and blue...gross
  2. Hi I was banded in March and recently I see myself bruising way more easily...my hands and legs mostly. Any of you noticed this? Or know what nutrient I may be missing?
  3. Hey guys! I am down just about 60 lbs. I am happy with it, not excersing enough though, mostly because it is too bloody hot here! I joined a gym but they dont open until September. I have had to buy "transitional" clothes, sex life has GREATLY improved, no longer obsessing about food, battling to get enough protein, and learning to adjust to more male attention. There's a little of my journey!
  4. Hi I am interested, I am on Vancouver island bc, nanaimo, my postal is v9t4m9. Any idea how much it would be to ship?
  5. I have two responses...1 for men and 1 for women. Men- I made the decision to get healthy and start really living my life, by ANY means necessary. It so happens that surgery is that means. Women- when looking at my history of being morbidly obese I knew something had to change. I consider myself a very strong woman but consider Oprah. Powerful, brilliant and can afford to have a person chef, trainer etc. If she can't keep the weight off, what makes me be confident I will be able to with help??
  6. I was banded on the 18th (long story, I know Sundays aren't normal!). I am working tonight, my first night back, it's a 14 hour shift and I feel ready for it. Today is day 2 with no pain pills. I am getting hungrier which sucks but I am concentrating on just having 1/2 full liquids 3 times a day and little snacks. I think I am loosing weight a little too quickly? I have gone from 330 to 312. My incisions are healing up fantastic! I am getting some silicone tape from my sister to help prevent scaring! Hope you all are doing great! I am just hoping this hunger settles down!
  7. I had my surgery 5 days ago, no BM so last night I had milk of magnesia....I have gone to the bathroom maybe 5 times since last night....when does this stuff wear off?!? I am afraid I am getting dehydrated.
  8. Breakfast was a chocolate protein shake, snack was a protein jello shot, 1/3 a cup of butter but squash soup for lunch followed by another chocolate protein shake. Dinner as 1/2 cup of low fat cream of broccoli soup. For desert, maybe a sf popsicle.
  9. Hey Sammy, I do shift work too, dispatcher at a fire department. All of my family knows, I have gotten only one person being just slightly negative but I am pretty sure she is getting dementia. I did tell everyone I work with. Only two dispatchers on at a time, 10 hr days and 14 hr nights so you build some strong relationships. I am 4 days out and they have been beyond supportive. Most of the firefighters know and I was surprised at how wonderful they have been. What I said to them was "I made the decision to get healthy, by what ever means necessary". Now I dont get to participate in the work dinners fully but I bring my little container of Soup and sit with them. This whole process has made me feel like I am More part of a big family.
  10. I don't know if anyone said yet but PC from superstore (maybe its only Canadian?) has the most amazing 80 calorie bars!!!
  11. Could I get one too cottonnicole@hotmail.com! Thanks!!!!
  12. Can I get an invite to the group?
