  1. Trying to delete duplicate post from iPhone, not possible ;(
  2. Jayne Welcome. This is a fabulous support a d information site. We can do this together. I was banded march 9th and am down 15lbs since surger 25 from preop diet. I need to start working out to help my weight loss. But as long as I keep losing I'm happy. D Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk
  3. Double posts making me crazy. Only seem to happen when posting from phone ;(.
  4. Nicole Don't be so hard on yourself. We all fall at some point. Get your head back on track. You've made a huge change in your life and have accomplished so much since surgery. You might try going back to your pre op diet for a week. I would talk to my physician... Maybe you need an adjustment. Stay positive YOU CAN DO THIS.... YOU'VE DONE IT
  5.    Jen75 reacted to a post in a topic: Great Article!!
  6. Jen75 What a great article. Thanks for posting an article with a scientific base. D Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk
  7. Phatkatblue That is amazing results. It's great to have a partner right there with you. Keep up the good work. D
  8. I'm almost three weeks post op and am on to reg food with some restrictions regarding stringy meats, bread (never again) , etc. I am experiencing lose bowels within an hour of eating and wonder if I am overeating or if it's just my bodies reaction to solids.
  9. In pre-op wearing my designer gown! Had my I'VE antibiotic and weigh in I love this scale down 10 lbs in a week . I think they make these gowns so big to make people feel better about themselves! The staff here at Richardson Surgery Center are great . See you on the other side folks D
  10. OK this is it.......really...........it's here already. Surgery in the morning at 0730 Does that sum up my emotions? I am nervous and excited. I've lost 8 lbs on the pre-op diet......1lb a day, not bad, if I can keep that up I will be happy!! Anticipating the pain, probably more than needed. I'm not questioning my decision though.......I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. Time to make a change. I will keep you posted. Tootles D
  11. Yesterday was weigh in for Day 1 of the Pre-op diet 235 Guess the week of "Final Meals" didn't hurt. Today is day two of SouthBeach Phase 1..I was so busy yesterday that all I had was my protien shake (slim fast low carb) and 1/2 cups of mixed nuts...which lasted me all day. Not really how I thought it would go...Chicken fajita meat and 2 cups of greenbeans was supper but not untill 9:30. Hope I do better today. The one thing I did notice was that I wasn't hungry throughout the day. I expected to be starving by noon. I guess it's a mindset, I know I have to stay on this diet until next Friday when my surgery is scheduled. I cannot imagine going in and having Dr. Fox say "NOPE, your liver is in the way, try again!!" I am getting nervous, and anxious. I'm a nurse so I know it is the right thing to do but I also know the risks of surgery and general anesthesia. I have never had a major surgery before so to do an elective procedure is hard for me. Moving forward to a better, healthier life D
  12. caramelqueen slow and easy I think is the key. Congrats on your successful procedure. corianna WOW well done YOU, 42lbs in 7 weeks AMAZING. D
  13. Congrats on 3yrs. How's it been long term? D
  14. My surgery is on the 9th as well. I have a hiatal hernia and my doc is fixing it during my banding. So as far as anyone at work knows I am having hernia surgery. More-op diet begins on 2-29, South Beach phase one. We see the surgeon Tues. for the pre-op visit. I am so excited and nervous all at the same time! Being a nurse is not always an advantage! Keep in touch! Tootles D
