Hello From Minnesota

Recommended Posts

I have started the process and am excited to start this journey and get my life back. I am done with the dietician, psyc evaluation, met with the doctor and am waiting for the 6 months of doc supervised visits to pass and hopefully insurance will approve and I can be on my way. So glad I found the site...so much information from others in the same situation and hoping I can learn much more before I am banded. I am ready for this and am hoping I dont let myself down when the time comes. Cant wait to get to know some of you and looking forward to listening and finding out all the great advice anyone has to offer :)

This is the best support system, everyone is so nice and all the comments and posts are so helpful! I know it has helped me through this process. Being banded next week! Good luck! The site was down yesterday and I about died! So close to surgery, I like to come here for support and to learn more peoples experiences. So glad it's up and running! Cathy

I know what you mean Cathy. I Felt like my lifeline had been cut. This site has been very helpful, we Bandsters are too new in this area to have a support group.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
