I had my surgery October 12th and I still have some gas. The pain in my shoulder finally went away!! Whew! But I feel constipated. I moved my bowels only once since surgery. I must say I feel great!!! Since the surgery I have lost 10lbs but now I'm on the stage III diet (pureed only) and it seems like my weight loss has stopped or slowed down. You only went once in two week you better take something. Yes it is normal for weight loss to stop once you upgrade your diet it will start again

I just told this to another poster. I had a probiatic, FF yogurt and I was going before it was finished.

Increase your fiber. If you really feel stuck, I took Miralax. I had a big issue and ended up in the ER and that was ok'ed. Before starting any new meds I would consult your surgeons office.

Make sure you are drinking enough water. A lot of people overlook this as a cause for constipation. I definitely notice that if I haven't had enough water for the day, things aren't "moving along" as they should.
