So I am at a plateau, now adding in more exercise (joined the YMCA yesterday and burned 699 calories yesterday alone!!) and trying to eat less at each meal and stay below 1200 calories....the scale isn't moving much these days, but I have new reasons to celebrate.....

Last week I had to go get new bras....the old ones were super loose in the cups....so loose that I had to cut off the excess material!!!

But today was the REAL NSV!!!!!

I measured myself...something I haven't done since surgery day...

I lost

3 inches in the waist

3 inches in the bust

4 inches in the hips

nothing in thigh....might have to re-measure that one! :)

1 inch in the upper arm!!

Went from a size 42DD bra to a 40C...first time in over 10 years and 3 kids that I've been a C!!

I've gotten rid of my size 20-22 clothes, now working on getting through the 18's....

went to a wedding last night and wore a size 16 dress without busting out of it!!!! It fit great and felt even better!!! I even danced in HEELS!!! I'm not a dancer by an means, but danced longer than I ever would have even thought of pre-banding!!

Woot woot!! If I can figure out how to add pics before and now I will do so. :)

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
