my doc said swimming after 2-3 weeks - i'm looking at my backyard pool with all my friends swimming in it as I type this. I was banded on 7/5 and can pretty much guarantee i'll be jumping in the pool at the 2 week mark....B)

I was told 4 weeks which is in one more week! I can not wait!

I was banded June 28th, Dr said 10 days. He removed my steri-strips friday,,my incisions are closed..,he said 'Go for it"...I spent all day yesterday in the pool! (Really helps take my mind off food)!

I got clearance at one week. I had dermabond, so no stitches. He also knows I'm a lap swimmer so that may have have helped his decision.greensmilies-026.gif

I went today and im going crazy cuz my incisions r burning I dunno if it was to much chlorine or what

I highly recommend getting a water proof mp3 player makes an hour of swimming go by so much faster.

I was in the water shortly after my surgery because I am a swim instructor. I used the waterproof bandaids and they worked great

Same here.... I had dermabond and got the clearance to go after one week.

Wow! I'm jealous! I got told 4 weeks before swimming or hot tubs (and I dearly love going to the hot tubs)... JEALOUS. I can't wait to swim though! Definitely one of my favorite summer activities.
