Good Morning all ! I had my lapband on March 29th, my second fill was May 3rd and this past weekend, I got sick ! I think I hit the overload button, First thing in the morning I got up had a little Water, then proceeded to have my morning Protein drink "Muscle Milk" premade chocolate drink. Within minutes I was semi-puking, at least at first, then after several minutes it was full blown! Please forgive the description but no chunks, nothing other than fluids and choc drink, of course this being my first experience at being sick to my stomach since surgery, I didn't know any better (didn't think) and had some water, wrong thing to do, sick again..... Spend the rest of the day recouping, with just very little water sips as necessary, later in the evening I was able to have some warm tea. Next day I was much better, just didn't want to take any chances, so I had a little oatmeal in the morning and just a protein drink later, then a little and I mean little dinner later. Today is the first day since Saturday that I can hear and feel my stomach grumble for food ! What an experience, I think I have some slight restriction finally, just have to be careful from here on out for a while until I get used to the results of the latest fill. It didn't kick in for two weeks, so be careful to the rest of you going through this !

That doesn't sound pleasant at all. So you think it was your fill that did that, or a stomach bug? Sounds like a stomach bug to me. I've been fortunate not to get any stomach bugs yet and am not looking forward to when it does happen. I have had some really bad gallbladder attacks that have made me nauseous and I've had to heave but absolutely nothing but saliva came out. That actually worries me a bit for when I get a flu and need to get stuff out!

I think I really did overdo, had a little bit of rich food the night before, like small meatballs and cheese. Didn't feel stuck in the evening and didn't feel sick until the morning after Water and Protein drink. Today is a real good day, normal stuff, able to drink most of Protein drink and will have lunch in a few minutes. I didn't feel like I had a bug type of thing, because it was only until I got rid of what was in my stomach that I was better. "You will heave and saliva will come out, but when the other stuff need to come out it will, really different than before banding" It was scary but got through it and not looking forward to it ever happening again. Just saying be careful you never know when your fill will kick in !! ( I think )

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
