Painful to eat after fill...

I had a fill on Wednesday evening, and now on Saturday, I still can't eat much of anything. Before my most recent fill, I was dealing with "first bite syndrome". I found a lot of good info on this site and was able to deal with it (hot drink before my meal). Now, since I've had the fill (0.5 cc's) it's like I have first bite syndrome gone wild!!!! The hot drink is not working at all, I've tried everything I can find on here to help, but nothing. I get severe pain and end up throwing up most anything I try to eat. Once I'm done throwing up, I can wait about 20-30 mins, than I can slowly and carefully eat a little. I should also say that I take very small bites, chew like crazy and tonight I even set the stop watch on my phone and timed my bites (waited 2.5 mins between first and second bite, then 1 min. for third bite and bang, pain!). Should I give it more time, let things settle maybe? Anyone out there have any experience similar to this? I'm very frustrated with this thing!!! Thanks

Hi bunnyluv37, yes my surgeon did give me instructions, 1 day of liquids, 1 day of mushies, and I've followed them. This is actually my 4th fill, and I've never experienced anything like this before.....

lynie.s1969, when you say you can't keep anything down, is it because of pain when you eat? That's what I'm getting, and 3 weeks sounds like a long time!!! Hope that doesn't happen to you with each fill and hope it doesn't take me that long to start eating again, but I guess I would lose a lot of weight quickly that way! LOL

I am going through the same thing. My fill was on a few weeks ago. I am at restriction so I am having a very hard time. If i do not chew, chew, wait a few minutes in between each bite, I will get stuck. Then I have to make myself throw up. Today was a good day, because I made sure I took my time eating and chew, chew. I really concentrated and it worked. Good luck.

That happend to me a couple of weeks ago, I had received a fill, and I was dead at restriction, so I thought great. For 3 weeks I was at the dr's office from Jan 27th up to Feb 17th.. He had to unfil all the fill that he had placed in on Jan 27th. It was very painful when I ate, I couldn't even eat yogurt without discomfort. I was just to tight, he only had placed .5 in. I would say that if you are in pain and unable to eat, after the first week, you should have already went back and got some taken out. You don't want to cause your band to slip. I have no restriction now, I believe he took out more than .5. But I'm letting my stomach rest for now, I'm due to go back to the dr April 28th.. So I've been doing more exercising because I don't want to gain any weight back. Hope this helps.

I had a fill on Wednesday evening, and now on Saturday, I still can't eat much of anything.

I had my 2nd fill today Tuesday) and he reminded me... liquids today and tomorrow, mushies on thursday and regular food on friday. He said if I cannot eat regular food by afternoon on friday I need to call him.

You may need to call your medical office. It sounds like you may have an over-fill issuse

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
