ok PREbandsters, what's for breakfast!

Recommended Posts

What are you eating this morning? Are you preparing youself for life after your band?

I'm just having a Carnation instant Breakfast (vanilla, altho I like the SFchocolate better) and some fruit...trying to get ready for my (non required) pre op diet.

Those on pre op diet, feel free to post what you're eating (drinking) too! Give us some good ideas!

It's so funny you posted this this morning. At this moment I am eating oatmeal and slithered almonds out of my kids bowl, using one of their spoons. I had it in mind today to use these utensils more often.

Thanks for the post! We are right on point!

I had a Optifast shake and 4 oz of OJ (for the added potassium). I am on day two of this and my stomach is talking big time. I am hungry! I'm sticking to it though but it's gonna be a really tough two weeks.

Could it be the acid from the OJ? Can you have a banana instead? I ask only cause I want to know what other options I or others may have when we get to your stage of the "renewal"

i know, my daughter was looking at me like i was crazy. i am going on a mad hunt for some smaller plates and bowls. it's sad to say but nowadays a lot of the dinnerware is so large to accomodate the large portions we've become accustomed to. i'm going to check the thrift stores first. i don't think they will let me keep using their stuff. 2 year olds are so tempermental...lol!!!

I am going to have a vanilla Protein Drink and I add about 1/2 tsp. Of banana extract to it alond with a pack or two of splendid. It is really good,

You can substitute the banana extract for vanilla, orange, maple, chocolate, almond, etc.....I also add crushed ice sometimes and it taste like a thick creamy shake.< /p>

Let me know if you like it.

I used baby utensils after banding and I feel like it helped me learn what size bites to take. I filled up the baby spoon halfway each time I took a bite. I found them to be really helpful.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
