nothing new.....

Recommended Posts

I havent posted in a while i have been lurking in the background basically because there is nothing new to post.

I havent gained and I havent lost either which is frustrating in itself.

I probably need a fill after 1 month after my unfill but am afraid to get more put in my band and be back where I was in Nov-Dec getting stuck and throwing up every time I tried to eat.

I have started working out on my "Gazelle" trainer trying to reach 30min a day but that is slow going as well.

Well that's all I really have to report like I said nothing new...Just wish I could start losing lbs again!!!

I know the fear about getting too tight again.. and if you haven't lost any, you are probably right - it's not quite time for a fill.

But keep a plugging at it. It should come off if you follow the bandster guidelines most of the time.

I had to have a slight unfill in May. It took till September to be ready to have it added back.. but when I did get it replaced.. whoa nelly.. it worked really well, lost 14 in 2 months.

Thank you that was very encouraging!!! I needed to be reminded that it's not all about fills and unfills and this can be done!

Have you taken your measurements? Pictures? If not, I'd suggest doing that. Measure yourself and do so again in a month. Take pictures and compare what you look like. Even if the scale isn't moving down, the fact is that it's not moving up, and that is good news! You're doing things right, so keep on going. The scale isn't our only way to measure success. A 23lb loss is great and it's wise that you're hesitant on your fills. So many people aren't and they end up in trouble in the long run.

Keep your head up! The scale will move in time.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
