Headache! After eating every time!

Recommended Posts

I have been getting headaches after I eat. It doesnt matter what I eat, how slow i eat it, etc. It isn't like a migrane headache, i get those too which are sometimes induced by things I eat. Does anyone else experience this? It is kinda an all over headache pounding starts slow and then gets worse. It starts about a half hour after I eat.

Huh... that's a new one to me. I guess it can't hurt to check with your doctor about it. I can only think that it's some weird nerve related thing-- but that would probably only make sense if it was pain at a specific spot, right? Like I get pain in my shoulder when I need to stop eating. Does it happen every time? Maybe start keeping a journal so you can see if there is something related to what, when, etc.

I also experience headaches. However it goes away if I PB. Sometimes it starts if I eat too much or too fast. Have you monitored your eating?

I get the headaches - it usualy means (FOR ME) that i am done eating... Ive noticed that regardless if i eat slow or a lil faster, i still get them. My dr said everyones body tells them differently when ur full, so i assume this is mine - its not a major headache, almost like the onset of one - once i stop eating, im OK, it goes away after 5 min or 10. good luck

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
