fills in Mx-do you stay a few days?

Recommended Posts

I'm hoping to get this done soon. What I'm wondering is: When you have a fill is it a good idea to stay in Mex. for 2-3 days just to say how the fill went? I'm from WI and flying back in a day or two for a fill-adjustment just doesn't make financial sense to me. And it does look like people often get adjustments on their fills within a day or two.

I'm going to use Kuri.

If you can afford to spend the time, do it! Stay, that is. Kuri was my doc but I have not been to the infamous "Fill Day at Kuri's", which is lots of folks coming in from all over the country...chubby American girls bopping around TJ for the day...sounds like a ball!! Anyhow, I think if you got out of TJ and stayed in an airport hotel till the next day, you'd have a good idea of how your fill was doing ya. Hit the Zoo, for goodness sakes! The hotel might get you a lift to a bus stop that would take you there. If you ended up with too snug a fill, it would be a quick trip over to get that fixed, then home again.

Ya know, some folks need a few weeks to adjust to a fill level. I'm a sweller, so I need a few days before I know for sure, and some folks feel no difference, then BAM! 2 weeks later they PB something they eat all the time! I'm not sure there is any contolling how you'll do and be.

If you have the time, you'd save some money by staying, but only if you needed to adjust your fill. Otherwise, you could be home!!!

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
