Claire - hope you feel better soon! I had to laugh at you trying to get one of the rugby boys to go to Zumba - now THAT is something I'd love to see, LOL. My DH wouldn't be caught dead doing something like that  .

Leigha - yeah, I was like that for exercise pretty much all of November/December - I was trying to get motivated, but just couldn't bother. I'm just really trying to see if I can get to goal and I feel like that's the only piece that can be improved on (I couldn't possibly eat less!).

Hope everyone has a great week.

HDmama, hopefully the exrcise is going well and I wish those stubborn 7lbs fall off soon. Just as Leigha, I need some motivation to get going with some intensive exercise to tone up a bit. In regards to the zumba, I think I`m on my own. LOL. The rugby boys wouldn`t even entertain it, although one of them said he would accompany me to first session to get me going. However, the idea of him stood or sat in corner watching me shimmy my stuff will be hillarious. I`m going to join that zumba class though.

Leigha, you have a point about the TT and I`m going to think deeply about it before considering it.

I feel a bit better today and have been eating very well. Still cloaky and fiverish but I`m getting there. Wishing you all well.

It is amazing how much one can eat when they are recovering from feverish illness. Well, I`m on a roll so need to be stopped. I`m enjoying it though. Haven`t gained weight. Well, nothing more to say really. Just needed to vent or does this not count?

Glad you are feeling better - that's great that you haven't gained (you probably won't unless you prolong the madness, LOL). I have been CRAZY hungry today for some reason....I have these days every now and then - I'm trying not to cave and make good choices....hopefully this will pass - I know I don't need a fill because even if I tried to go crazy eating a bunch of food, I can't get more than a couple bites in before I feel full - so it's just my mind playing tricks on me, I'm sure.

Well, it`s good that those crazy hungry moments soon pass. It`s therefore my prayer that you`re over it already. The psychological / head hunger is a pain in this journey.

Just as I thought I had recovered from my illness, I have been struck down again and have been in bed for the past 48 hours. Eating has been problematic again. Although I`ve been able to drink some Water, I just do not feel like eating. I forced myself to eat today though since I was feeling extremely weak. Thankfully, the food stayed down.

This spell was severe abdominal pain. I had eaten a whole bagel and cheese and chive spread the previous evening. This was the first time I had managed a whole bagel since the op so I was beginning to feel that I had got blocked and the pain was excruciating. I think that it could be something else though but heyhoo, I`m up tonight. Still not 100% but moving around.

Hope you`re all doing well. Have a good weekend

Hi All, Just touching base. Hope all`s well with everyone.

I had an eventful evening last night. We went out to dinner at some friends and I drunk my calories. Not a very good idea. I managed the main meal but did not even look at the pudding.

No hangover today and I worked it out by shopping all day. Well, it has been windy for the past 3 days and nights so one could not possibly go for a walk or run. LOL.

Well, I`ve been extremely disciplined lately to the point of even forcing Breakfast in most mornings, so I guess I deserve to have a vice.

Hope to read from you soon.

Claire - you have to let loose every once in a while, so don't worry too much about drinking your dinner, LOL.

I've had a rough couple weeks - was sick and then MIL had a heart attack (luckily she's OK) - so was super tight and not able to eat - which I suppose is better than being able to and then stuffing my face because I was stressed and feeling bad....but now that I'm better and not as stressed, the head hunger is trying to get the best of me....the last couple days I've not been terribly good in my eating - but today, so far - I'm doing well.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Oh dear, HDmama. So sorry to hear about the MIL`s health issues. I`m glad she`s ok.

I`m also glad that you`ve recovered from your illness. Hope it was nothing serious. Did the tightness assist in any weightloss? I don`t think being tight whilst you are ill is good at all. I experienced it and did not do any better weightloss wise. Of course, when you`re getting better, you get into this eating spree which is also not helpful. Ohh, if life could be easier, eh? Hopefully the head hunger spell will not last for long and I`m glad you`re doing well today, hun.

I`m doing well, I just need to stop the unneccessary shopping and drinking mocha. Bad habit.

I`m going on holidays soon and this will involve 6 hours flight there. Do I need to unfill before I go? or will I be alright? I guess I`ll have to call the bariatric team for answers but has any of you had any experience?

Hope everybody else is doing well.

Hey everyone, Sorry I have been MIA but I have just been super busy at work.

Claire I'm glad your feeling better, and yes we all get one vice.

HD- Glad your MIL is ok! I hope the stress calms down or if not at least hope you lose some weight from it.

I haven't been getting on the scale and when I did on Tuesday I weighed 138! :o So back to acting right for me. I am so lazy lately. Sheesh....

Poor girl, you`re still snowed under with work. Well, i hope it lightens up for you soon. In relation to the weight gain, your ideal is 135 right? You know what to do, hun. Hope your little puppy is doing well.

HDmama, heard from the MIL? The weather is dreadful here. It`s windy and has been raining.

It was not fun being a rugby groupie this morning. I lost a brolly to the wind. I could not walk around the pitch. What a pain. The eating is going well.

Hope you`re all doing well.

I`m thinking of naming my band because it has got a mind of it`s own. Someone drove into the car of one of the rugby boys on Tuesday and this stressed me up a little. The band chose to tighten up leading to me throwing up anything that went in apart from Water.< /p>

It was so bad yesterday that I felt I was going to have to go in for unfill. I already had a scheduled outing with friends and I was dreading it but guess what? After a glass on wine and a bit of relaxation, it became loose and I could enjoy my meal.

I did not go over-board though, just an average portion of chicken breast with cheese and other Condiments which I tried to avoid. I had 2 mouthfuls of pudding. I`m finding that when I`m super-tight, a sip of wine helps a bit.

Hope you`re all doing well.

Hi, Just touching base. I`m doing well and hope you`re all doing great. Stood on the scale yesterday and still at the same weight I was over a month ago. I guess I`ve stalled at goal. That should be a good thing. Right? I`m eating well but the exercise is still in a stall. I guess when I return from holidays it will be a different story.

Stay well, you all.

Hello ladies.

It's been a hectic couple of weeks. My MIL is doing well - she's out of hospital now and feeling well - we feel very lucky. Big wake-up call for everyone - take care of your heart health!

Unfortunately for me, the inability to eat didn't help me lose any pounds, LOL. I'm not gaining, I'm just not really losing....and although I'm technically a few pounds away from having a "Normal" BMI - I really can't complain - I'm a size 6 and have been for a while, really, I never had any desire to get to a 4 (which is where I will be if I do manage to lose these few pounds)....and this weight seems to be easy to maintain so I'm just trying to be consistent and not stressing about the scale not cooperating with me.

Where are you going on holiday Claire? I'm actually traveling at the end of next month too....will also be gone about 6 days - will be interested to hear if flying has caused anyone issues.

Hope everyone is doing well.

I`m glad your MIL is out of the woods. I didn`t think you would lose weight by not eating though because even if you did, you would have put it all back on when you were over your stress period. Trust me, I should know. been there over and over.

It`s great that you`re stable though. Girl, size 6 sounds wonderful as I keep saying. I still can`t get into Uk size 6. I would look like a stuffed chicken or turkey. Same as you, I`m alright and comfortable with my weight and size. Who would have thought that I could go over a month without standing on a scale! oh and how I always dreaded it? Yesterday I did not even think twice about jumping on it, let alone dreading it.

I`m going to Africa for about 4 weeks. 6 hours flight from Heathrow. I`ve been advised not to unfill and assured that I will be ok during the flight at 8 in a 10 band so fingers crossed it all goes well. I guess I`m going to refrain from eating whilst in flight. My only hope is that I don`t get too tight whilst there. I can mange being loose though because I`m quietly confident that I can control the intake of food. Well, I will let you know. LOL. I will also let you know how the flight goes. I went on a flght about a month post-op but it was within the continent and therefore a short flight.

Good to read from you HDmama. Hope everybody else`s doing well and Leigha, you`ve finished the massive paperwork and living life.

Flight was great. No problems at all. Managed to eat on board. A bit of tightness now, two weeks into holidays but managing alright. I`ve got two weeks to go.

Hope you are all doing good.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
