I was really bloated as well. My doctor told me to walk, walk and then do some more walking. He said all the air pumped into me during surgery had to be "worked" out. Good luck.

If you are concerned however, I would definitely call the doctor and at least ask.

I was completely back to normal in less than 3 days. I'd call your surgeon's office just for piece of mind. It's probably fine but the phone call can't hurt.

I felt very bloated for at least a week after the surgery. Also for some reason my stomach was more bloated a poked out on the right side. The dr. said it was because of the air that is injected during surgery. It will all go away and yes you do need to walk alot!!!! I even had pain in the arms and shoulders from the air. The calms down each day..... Congrats on your surgery...

Had my surgery yesterday and feel so sore, can't take deep breaths it seems. Hoping this pain to go away soon. I'm bloated as well and miserable. Did ya'll have soreness after your surgeries?

Kary,

you have to walk a lot. It will keep the blood moving and help get the gas out of you system.

Thanks for getting back with me, thought I was alone in pain. Sorry about ur bloating-have you been taking any medications to help with that?

Saw ur profile, need to complete mine. Wanted to put a weight tracker on here but have no clue how to do this__what are you eating now since ur 5 days out? still on liquid?

Thanks Btieger_i have been walking it seems to help-good job on the 4lbs!!

Weight tracker can be found at tickerfactory.com.

I was really bloated, I remember wearing sweats and they were alot tighter after the surgery than before. I was told it was a combo of the IV fluids and the gas.

Thanks Btieger!! Thanks Mominkansas-way to go on ur 67 lbs! How are you doing? Has it been easy or has there been complications or frustrations?

I'm back at work today-shouldve taken Thursday and Friday off-people are looking at me weird_LOL

I am doing pretty well. I have had a prolapse(complete unfill) and a flipped port which required revision surgery.

Overall I can not complain. I would still be struggling to lose 5 pounds had I not been banded.

Wow mominkansas! flipped port? Hope I don't have to go through that at all!
